MESSAGE FROM THE CAPTAIN

Howdy! To all Company B. I finally got a new computer, so now I can start sending out messages again. I hope this one finds everyone happy and well.

We had a good time at Burnsville. Our numbers were low due to work schedules, but we still had fun. On Friday night we enjoyed watching the meteor shower and also the fireworks display. Company K was also there and we enjoyed visiting with them and fighting alongside them on both days. We also had a surprise visit from Col. And Mrs. Snyder on Saturday. They stopped by on their way home from vacation and visited with us several hours. Besides myself, we had in attendance; Mike Clark, Jim Carter, Eric Minetola, Wayne Justice, and Bob Feldman. Roger Ray was also there, it was his event, but did not play. He was busy running the event, but we decided to execute him Sunday for dereliction of duty anyway. What started out to be a firing squad turned into the entire force of soldiers from both sides. That thundering volley was a fine finish to a fun weekend.

Our next event will be another new one for us. We will be going to Murray's Mill in September. I will be sending out more info on that as soon as I can. I hope to see all of you there! Till then keep your powder dry and your spirits high! Give me a holler if you need me or I can help with anything.
YMOS, Henry

Captain Henry Rathbone, 22nd N.C. Regt. Co. B

Welcome!  We are an association of living historians representing two impressions from the 1861-1865 era:  the 22nd North Carolina Infantry Regiment, Company B (CSA) and the 3rd North Carolina Mounted Infantry (Kirk's Raiders, USA).

Our association participates in reenactments primarily in Western North Carolina and regions of adjoining states, and our goal is to be an historically accurate and informative group of reenactors telling the fascinating story of the War Between the States / Civil War in our region.  We are family-friendly and open to all qualified persons, and we enjoy great fellowship in all of our activities.  In all that we do we seek to honor the courage and dedication of the fighting men we portray, and make their sacrifices real to the 21st-century generation.

Please explore the following pages, and note that information will be updated regularly.  Contact information for company officers can be found at the top of the Event Calendar page, and we welcome your inquiries.
