Welcome!  We are an association of living historians representing three impressions from the 1861-1865 era:  the 22nd North Carolina Infantry Regiment, Company B (CSA); the 8th North Carolina Regiment (Burke County Home Guard, CSA); and the 3rd North Carolina Mounted Infantry (Kirk's Raiders, USA).

Our association participates in reenactments primarily in Western North Carolina and regions of adjoining states, and our goal is to be an historically accurate and informative group of reenactors telling the story of the War Between the States / Civil War in our region.  We are family-friendly and open to all qualified persons, and we enjoy great fellowship in all of our activities.  In all that we do we seek to honor the courage and dedication of the fighting men we portray, and make their sacrifices real to the 21st-century generation.

Please explore the following pages, and note that information will be updated regularly.  Contact information for company officers can be found at the top of the Event Calendar page.

Dispatch from the Field:

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for the great turnout that you have given the 22nd N.C. Company B.  At this time I wish to congratulate all of our recently promoted individuals, and once again thank Michelle for having a great commissary and for all the work she does.

I will be looking forward to seeing each and every one of you at Wilson's Creek.  We have other big events coming up, and I hope that turnout will be above and beyond expectations.

Also, thanks to the people who came out for the living history for Michael Arrowood in Hendersonville and this past weekend in Lenoir.  For those who could not attend, there's always next time!

At this time I am well pleased and satisfied with this company and our actions, and with the devotion of the men and women of this company, and my hat is off to every one of you.

Your obedient servant,

Capt. G. Wycoff
